人造聚晶鑽石（CVD,PCD）、立方氮化硼（PCBN）材料製成的刀具在國內外廣泛用於汽機車製造業、產業機械、以及航空、軍事、電子、石油、化工、醫療、木材和石材加工等行業。鑽石薄膜刀具和聚晶鑽石刀具硬度高，耐磨性佳、磨擦係數小、抗黏接性強，用於非鐵金屬的高光澤度加工。也適用於陶瓷、合成纖維等非金屬材料工件的精密加工。立方氮化硼刀具硬度高、耐熱性高、抗黏接性強，用於高硬化鐵金屬及合金、鑄鐵等材料的精加工，工件硬度可在HRC60以上。
